  53. CompuPic is the quickest and easiest-to-use multimedia manager/viewer
  54. utility you will ever use.  It's intuitive user interface combined with
  55. its rich set of features will provide all the power you need.

  59. VIEWING:  Viewing is simple - just double click on the file name/thumbnail
  60. with the left mouse button to view an image!  Click again to return to the
  61. file list.  To access a powerful set of editing features, just move the
  62. cursor to the top of the viewing area, and a menu bar appears, filled with
  63. editing features, enhancements, conversions and preference options.

  65. THUMBNAILS:  Unlike other programs, CompuPic lets you choose between 2 sizes!
  66. Photodex has developed a sophisticated palette system for extremely high
  67. quality and lightning fast thumbnail creation.  Thumbnails are stored for
  68. later use in a data file for the fastest access available.

  70. MAXISHOW:  Another 'first in the world' for CompuPic.  Photodex presents
  71. 'Maxishow', the unbelievable multiple image slideshow!  Runs just like a
  72. traditional slideshow, but contains a configurable number of images per
  73. screen.  Supports sound and MIDI music files also.

  75. MULTITASKING:  CompuPic creates thumbnails while you use it, so you never
  76. have to wait again!  Click on the handy thumbnail 'Create' button, and
  77. CompuPic will instantly start creating thumbnails.  No status windows to
  78. wait for, no annoying delays, no headaches!  You can keep using your
  79. machine, viewing pictures, running slide-shows, etc. while CompuPic is
  80. working.  Incomplete thumbnails are remembered, so when you enter CompuPic
  81. again, they will be created automatically.

  83. INSTANT ZOOM/REAL-TIME PAN:  CompuPic is the first graphics utility in the
  84. world to offer instant zooming with a real-time mouse pan at the touch of
  85. a key.  Frame rates are based on processor speed, and can easily be in
  86. excess of 30 updates per second (video speed!)

  88. CROPPING:  While viewing an image, CompuPic allows the user to outline an
  89. area, optionally adjust the area, and then crop to the outlined area.  In
  90. addition, the 'auto-crop' feature instantly analyzes the image and suggests
  91. the best crop outline to use to remove unwanted borders and advertisements.

  93. ENHANCEMENT:  Control brightness, contrast, color saturation, hue, black
  94. point, white point, red gamma, green gamma, blue gamma, and negativity
  95. either through an easy-to-use pop-up toolbar, or through simple to remember
  96. function keys.

  98. SLIDESHOW:  Select files and click on the slideshow toolbar button.  Also
  99. plays videos, animations, sampled sound and MIDI music files automatically.

  114. Distribution Requirements

  116. CompuPic may be freely distributed, with the following restrictions:

  118. 1.) Written permission from Photodex must be received to distribute
  119. CompuPic on retail racks, CD-ROMs, or bundled with any other product.
  120.  
  121. 2.) (BBSs) Please name the downloadable file CPIC101.EXE, and distribute
  122. only the original (self-extracting) file.

  124. 3.) The latest version of CompuPic can always be found in any of the
  125. on-line areas listed in the README.TXT file.
  126.  
  127. 4.) Disk Vendors, Shareware Distributors and BBS(s) may charge a nominal
  128. fee for distribution of CompuPic. The recipient of CompuPic must be
  129. informed, in advance, that the fee paid to acquire CompuPic does not
  130. relieve the recipient from purchasing CompuPic if the recipient continues
  131. to use the software.
